I trust in You Lord

I am amazed at how the Lord works. I love highlight reels and pre-game speeches. I love to watch a team of men be motivated to go out and fight together. There is something about that aspect of sports that is such a draw, to me and others. But as I thought about my daily Bible reading, I realized what a highlight reel of the faith we have, and what incredible speeches we get from Scripture. What an amazing gift from God! It has the heroes and villains, it has the champions and greatest winners of all time. It has men who have came against great evil and injustice to rise out of the ashes and conquer. Man, what a lineage. Man, what a history. Scripture is amazing at speaking to our hearts. We just have to shut-up and listen. I praise the Lord for the wonder of His book. Every word of Scripture is God-breathed! It’s His book, with His wisdom and His plans. What kind of a person refuses that? But most importantly are we refusing it everyday when we put anything else in front of it. I do, I constantly fail to spend the time I need in it. I could spend 16 hours a day in it and it not be enough. I have to have a heart for this book. It is the most incredible thing of its kind. There is nothing like it. I need to hunger for the deep truth that can only be found there. Please God, help me to hunger for your truth above all else. These 2 verses struck me last night as I read:
Psalm 25: 4-5
4 Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.

5 Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation;

for you I wait all the day long.
