Isabella

Well, while I could easily talk about my boys forever I am going to move on to my unborn daughter. I anticipate more and more each day her arrival. Her name will be Isabella Faith. Isabella means "Consecrated for God" or set-apart for God. I pray that her life lives up to that name. I take my children's names very seriously, because while it is just a word now, it used to be an honor to name your child and to name them well. I can't imagine how a parent can pass of this honor and relegate it to a meaningless name of the latest star or fad. Your child isn't a pet or a toy, it is a person who requires all of you. Their name will be an identifying mark on them for their whole lives. I want my kids to know their names, what they mean and why we chose them. Isabella is a beautiful name, but the meaning is what made it a favorite. I will do my best to raise her in admonition of the Lord and thus giving her the groundwork to live her life for God. I love her so much and I haven't even seen her yet. The greatest gift I can ever give her is the knowledge of our Lord. I pray for her continued health and for my growth as a father to be deserving of her.
